Included as a primer to the Flamenco Flow Lab, this 4 week program is the heart of everything we do with Joyful Movement Medicine.

With explorations into Mindset, Mindfulness, Gratitude and Nervous System Regulation, we set the stage to explore the body with tools from Yoga and the latest science of the brain and the nervous system. Cultivating flow in the mind and the nervous system helps to build inner resiliency, let go of outdated patterns or habits, and achieve your goals while enjoying the ride.

Too often in our zeal to learn, grow and improve we can fall into the trap of negative self-talk or judgement. Especially with a challenging and complex art form like Flamenco, it is important to befriend our minds to make the journey one that is ultimately empowering. No matter what you wish to achieve in your body or your life, your transformation begins here, on the inside.

MEET YOUR COACH

Amelia Moore, RYT-500 and ERYT-1000, is an alignment based Yoga teacher, professional Flamenco dancer, and a practitioner and teacher of meditation and mindfulness for over 20 years.  Over her years teaching, she has seen how a student's mindset, emotional attitude and beliefs about their capabilities directly determine the degree of learning, healing and transformation they experience. The HeartMind Lab was created to empower students to learn how to get out of their own way and build new internal habits that unlock our greatest potential for long term growth, healing and resilient joy in the pursuit of our dreams.

 
The Body :
Nervous System Regulation

Our Nervous System is responsible for how our bodies store our past experiences and memories, and shapes how we meet the challenges of the moment.  By learning about how to work with and clear out our Nervous Systems of stress energy, we find flow and resilience in all areas of our life.

 

The Mind:
Mindfulness and Breathwork

Mindfulness is the art of seeing what is, and is a primary tool in developing the deep awareness that is necessary for lasting growth. Breathwork is a powerful tool for dealing with difficulty in all forms.  Both are fundamental tools that we learn how and when to use, as well as when not to.

The Heart:
Mindset and our Emotional body

How we see the world is determined to a large extent by our beliefs about ourselves, and how we hold past painful memories and emotions deep within in our bodies. By working with Mindset, Gratitude and more, we cultivate true joy and unshakeable confidence.
